Baronial Household (Newcomers)

This is the personal household of the Baron and Baroness of Calafia, and is designed for those new to the Barony or the SCA.

Established by Talanque, Baron of Calafia, and Rowan Lynn, Baroness of Calafia, the first Mentor of the Menage (M.O.M.) was Dame Elinore Windemere of the Moors. The Household was instituted as a way for members of the populace to familiarize themselves with the SCA, the Kingdom of Caid, and the Barony of Calafia.

Members of the household attend meetings on a monthly basis to learn what we do and how we do it. It is a household of finite membership (most members attend for 6 to 12 months) but everyone is welcome to come to a discussion of any area of interest they have not yet explored.

Chatelaine's Office

The Chatelaine's office serves to provide information and assist individuals interested in learning more about the SCA. The Chatelaine also has period clothing available to borrow at events for newcomers wishing to dress up.
