Letters of Recommendation

Anyone can write a letter of recommendation for any award. Recommendations need not be a long letter a paragraph or 2 is plenty for Kingdom AoA level awards. For Baronial level awards a couple sentences either in hard copy or e mail is usually sufficient. Click here to see the Order of Precedence . A hard copy is also available look up the awards any individual has received.

Baronial Awards

The Serpent's Talon, Serpent's Flame, Golden Trident and Ordre du Coeurde de Serpent letters or e-mails are sent to the Baron and Baroness of Calafia. A paragraph stating why you are recommending the person for the award is ideal.

For the Gilded Thimble, make recommendations to the secretaries of the Order (currently Lady Abigail Chandler of Caithness).

To be polled for the Order of Leodamus you must subscribe to the Serpent's Tongue and reside in Calafia and be at the Leodamus Tourney.

Kingdom and Society Awards

Recommendations for a Kingdom level awards should be addressed to the King and Queen with copies to the Baron and Baroness. It is a good idea to also send a copy to the Head of Their Majesties court.

For Society level awards, the recommendation letters are addressed to the Secretary for the Order in Caid, (Pelican, Laurel or Knight) and copies to all the above.

Calafian Baronial Awards

The companions of this Order are selected from members of the Rapier and the Unarmored Combat Guilds of Calafia whom not only excel in prowess on the field, but also strive to improve their forms of combat. Additionally, they provide a continuous example of appearance, chivalry, service and leadership for other members of the Barony to emulate.
